Editors consider relevance, total cost, eligibility, restrictions, merchant destination and freshness. Compensation may exist but cannot replace basic verification.
Verification
Before publishing, we review the merchant terms and record when they were checked. We show the price or a check-current-price note, the discount basis and restrictions. A verified-discount badge is used only when a list-versus-sale (or equivalent) appeared on the merchant page itself. Secondary deal blogs are labeled as such and never presented as a verified sale. We remove or mark expired offers and correct material errors.
Guides
Guides describe their criteria and limitations. Research from specifications is identified as research; we do not claim hands-on testing without it.
Source records
Each monetized offer should retain its merchant source, destination, price or discount basis, restrictions, verification timestamp, expiration information and accountable editor.
Corrections and expiration
Offers that cannot be reconfirmed are removed from active listings or labeled expired. Material editorial errors are corrected, and readers can report a problem from the Contact page.
